Selective Memory 218

I'm incredibly proud of my friend Filippo Tagliati, who has an impressive installation in this year's ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI. Relocations brings the interior of a decaying building to the exterior with an 86 foot wide billboard wrapping one whole side of the structure. He also provides viewers with a glimpse of the actual interior (pungent smell included) and contextual information on the history of the location. I recommend spending time with all of the work at SiTE:LAB's Rumsey Street Project if you are going to ArtPrize this year!
In other news, I am kicking off a busy month with an artist talk at the 2015 Society for Photographic Education's Midwest Regional Conference in Louisville, KY. I also have several pieces included in The Inland Experience, the juried Midwest Regional Women’s Caucus exhibition. With a speaking roster that includes Dan Estabrook, Abelardo Morrell, and Lori Nix, I think it will be one helluva conference!
