Selective Memory 066

My weekend started a little early, as I drove down to Detroit on Thursday night for a lecture and film screening at the Detroit Film Theater. Somewhere to Disappear is a documentary following Alec Soth as he photographs loners and social dropouts for his Broken Manual series. In Soth's artist talk he discussed how his projects evolved and how one led to the next. He is currently photographing in Michigan (including such state treasures as Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth) for the latest edition of the LBM Dispatch.
