I finally got out of the house this weekend and took a day trip to Lake Huron, stopping in Pinconning, Au Gres, and East Tawas. Among the highlights of the day: eating cheese, climbing the 85 steps to the top of the Tawas Pointe Lighthouse (hugging the hand rail all the way down was not a highlight), and meeting the 1st place winner of the Tawas City Fire Department's Annual Walleye Tournament.
