Selective Memory 005

After finishing the first week of classes, I'm settling into life in
Mt. Pleasant. The week got off to an interesting start with the
Faculty Association (tenure and tenure-track faculty) at CMU going on
strike Monday. Students were curious and a little confused, as they
showed up to empty classrooms throughout the day. But the students
were overwhelming supportive of the strike from what I could tell. By
late Monday afternoon the faculty were court ordered to return to work
and a Friday hearing upheld that decision, so classes have been held
as normal since Monday. See the following link for more info:

No contract, but CMU faculty in the classroom
